Start EarningReceive revenue by including ads in your live and on-demand videos.
Ad placement options offer a viewing experience with less disruption.
Select how and when you monetize new and existing on-demand and live videos.
In-stream ads will be automatically added to new videos you upload. Any Page admin can turn off or adjust the placement of in-stream ads in individual videos within the video composer.
Pre-roll ads play before your video starts. These are shown to people who actively seek out the content. The more viewers that seek out the content, the more payouts you receive.
Mid-roll ads play during your video. These work best within a video that has natural break points. Since most videos are still discovered in News Feed, we recommend that creators program their content for mid-roll ads.
Image ads are static image ads that display under the content. Image ads help you earn money from videos that don't have a good place for mid-roll ads, such as comedy skits.
Post-roll ads appear at the end of your videos. They can be shown to viewers who do not receive a pre-roll ad or an image ad.
Producing video for a small screen requires consideration of dimension and scale. Play with zoom, crop and overall visual composition to make sure your story is told well on a small screen.
There’s no universal solution to building brands or driving actions with mobile video, so keep experimenting, testing and iterating to learn what works for your brand and audience.
Ads are placed at natural breaks in your content, or you can choose placements yourself. Whenever an in-stream ad plays, you earn a share of the resulting revenue. In-stream ads work best in longer, authentic content that brings people back and fosters a loyal community.

Use Facebook In-Stream Ads
After your Page is approved for in-stream ads, you can set up your payment account. To receive your earnings from in-stream ads, you must set up a payment account.
Payouts are released around the 21st of every month for earnings made in the previous month. For example, earnings made in January will be paid out around February 21st.
If you’re based in the U.S., you’ll be paid once a month after you reach the minimum balance of $5.
If you’re not in the U.S., your minimum balance to receive payouts may vary based on the payout method you chose when you set up your account:
If your accumulated balance is below the minimum threshold at the end of a month, it’ll be carried over to the next month until it reaches the minimum threshold for payouts.
Note: Your payouts are inclusive of multiple payout sources. If you use more than one monetization tool, your balance will include earnings from each tool.
International payments might take several days to arrive in your bank or PayPal account.
We release payments in only USD. We recommend that you contact your bank to confirm you can accept payments in USD.
You can view and track your approximate earnings in Meta Business Suite. Learn how to access your approximate earnings in Meta Business Suite.
