Measurement

There are two distinct teams that fall under Measurement—Client Measurement and Marketing Science Experts. While they each work with different types of businesses, their goal is the same: to help clients understand and improve the effectiveness of their advertising. Both Measurement teams use Facebook’s industry leading data science tools and data sets to help clients understand and improve the effectiveness of their advertising to improve business outcomes.

Client Measurement

The Client Measurement team works with top internal and external clients across a variety of verticals including automotive, e-commerce, entertainment, CPG, tech and more. The team consults on measurement strategy and does research to help clients understand and improve the effectiveness of their advertising.

Marketing Science Experts

The Marketing Science Expert team is always working to uncover new ways for SMBs to apply better marketing strategies, particularly in the new mobile world. Through analytical work and marketing research, the Marketing Science Expert team helps clients understand their consumers and the effectiveness of their ad spend, all at scale.

Ads Research

There are two sub-teams that are part of the larger Marketing Science Research team: Ads Research and Consumer Insights. The Advertising Research team uses data to prove generalizable marketing best practices and the value of digital advertising, often working closely with the Measurement team. Our work extends across global advertising agencies, industry practitioners, and academics, and it demonstrates the levers of success throughout an entire campaign, from pre-campaign insights and audience building, to creative and measurement.

Consumer and Advertising Insights

What kind of impact does a more open and connected world have on people, business, and the future? It’s the Consumer Insights team’s job to find out! They offer insight and foresight into people’s attitudes and behaviors across generations, geographies, devices and time that marketers are unable to find elsewhere. They then translate their findings into meaningful actions for businesses and brands to ensure successful marketing practices. Check out their work at insights.fb.com.

Auction and Delivery

The Auction and Delivery team focuses on optimizing advertiser value for individual advertisers and across our products. The team works with product to design and test new bidding, targeting and optimization methods that may become new products or features. They help understand and track advertiser performance metrics and increase advertiser adoption of products and best practices.

Scaled Solutions

Marketing Science Scaled Solutions team amplifies the work of the broader Marketing Science team through building and automating tools, distributing learnings, offering trainings and improving knowledge management. This team consists of Marketing Science subject matter experts, education experts, program and product managers who help build everything at scale, with all projects focusing on having a global impact.

Solutions & Partnership Development

The core task of the Solution & Partnership Development team is to create the fundamental building blocks of solutions for industry measurement problems. The team supports both first and third-party solutions, the latter achieved through their work with measurement partners. They play a key role in guiding measurement product strategy, and partner with the broader Marketing Science teams in order to test, learn, and eventually scale prototypes into products.

Research and Development

Research and Development is a sub-team that’s part of the broader Solutions & Partnership Development team. They create methods and partnerships to quantify, attribute and activate the value that marketers create on Facebook. The team is pushing the industry globally to participate in systems that provide more granular and accurate comparisons of the value created on mobile and digital, and how this relates to the leading marketing alternatives. Other measurement teams and product teams often use the methods we create in new measurement products.
