St. Petersburg announces shelter-in-place recommendations, makes self-isolation mandatory for those over 65

The government of St. Petersburg has issued a general self-isolation recommendation, according to a document posted on the city’s website.
While the recommendation remains in place, residents of St. Petersburg will be asked to leave their homes only to go to work, to visit pharmacies and grocery stores, to visit a doctor, to take out the trash, or to walk their dogs. For residents above 65 years old, the recommendations are mandatory.
The shelter-in-place rules are currently scheduled to lift on April 5. Similar restrictions had been put in place in almost a quarter of Russia’s regions as of March 30.
