Face ID interferes during passcode entry — not acceptable for a premium device
Hello,
I’m writing to report a frustrating issue with how Face ID behaves after a failed recognition attempt on iPhone.
Currently, even when Face ID fails and the passcode entry screen is shown, the system continues scanning for a face. If the face is recognized during passcode input, the phone unlocks abruptly — causing accidental taps, unwanted app launches, and overall chaotic behavior.
This design is confusing, disruptive, and unacceptable — especially for a device in this price range.
Each year, iPhones become more expensive while the usability experience degrades in small but critical ways. It’s beginning to feel like buying a luxury handbag with decorative handles glued on — expensive, but not built to be actually used.
Please consider implementing one of the following:
1. Stop Face ID scanning once the passcode field appears.
2. Temporarily disable Face ID during passcode entry.
This change would make iOS significantly more reliable and user-friendly, especially when Face ID fails.

Inefficient and time consuming
Chat service is literally useless, service givers are clueless and talk around the issue rather than solving the problem you have, telling you “I will do my best to help you” and then do nothing but wasting your time! I spent over an hour trying to simply schedule an appointment, at the end of it I got a link to schedule a phone call?!?!?! When I said service was bad, the service person said, “no, it’s a good service” promised to get me another service person, and I never got to it...simply useless...
