How does my organization qualify for Facebook's fundraising tools?

Facebook fundraising and donations tools are only available to charitable organizations based in certain locations.
To qualify for Facebook's fundraising tools, please confirm that your nonprofit or charitable organization is in a country or region where Facebook nonprofit fundraisers are available. If it is, please check that your nonprofit or charity meets the following criteria, based on your location:
Requirements for nonprofits based in the United States
  • Be a 501(c)(3) organization registered with the IRS.
  • Have a tax ID number. Note that at this time, organizations with fiscal sponsorship do not qualify to use Facebook Payments to receive money from donations.
  • Have a bank account registered with a licensed financial services institution. Bank account details, including the bank name, bank account holder's name (organization's name), and a legible and official bank letter or statement dated within the last 3 months.
  • The date of birth and address of the charity's CEO or executive director.
Requirements for charities in India
To qualify for Facebook's fundraising tools, charities in India must be registered with GiveIndia's GiveAssured program. They also need to provide the following documents for payments compliance, including:
  • Charity registration document
  • Charity PAN card
  • Proof of address
  • Canceled check of FCRA bank
  • Canceled check from local bank
  • Board minutes
  • Form 80G
  • Form 12A
  • FCRA registration document
  • Logo
  • Auditor's report
  • Income and expenditure report
  • Balance sheet
  • Schedules
  • Notes on accounts
  • Annual report
  • Income tax return
  • PAN card for each director listed
  • Facebook admin
  • Terms agreed
  • Requirements for charitable organizations based in other countries/regions
    • The date of birth and address of the charity's CEO or executive director.
    • A VAT number (when applicable).
    • A charity registration number (when applicable).
    • A charity registration document issued or approved by a government entity. Needed if your organization is based in Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Sweden, or Spain.
    • A bank account registered with a licensed financial services institution. This may include bank account detail like the bank name, bank account holder's name (organization's name), a legible and official bank letter or statement dated within the last 3 months, SWIFT Code and bank IBAN number.

    Please note that Facebook may deny or remove access to donation and fundraising tools for organizations that violate Facebook's Community Standards, Legal Terms, or other policies. All applicable terms and policies (for example: vaccine misinformation) are relevant to fundraisers.
