Racing toward the ultimate finish line - Crohn's & colitis Cur

About
Logan was diagnosed with Crohn's disease when he way 12 years old. Eight years later he is still battling just as hard to overcome the disease and live a normal life. However you can define normal, I have never been more proud of a young man that chooses to not let a chronic disease slow him down. I am following his lead by challenging myself physically and mentally, just like he does every day, and take on three races in 2020. My goal is to raise over $12,000 for research to cures, helping other kids enjoy life by going to camp, and help bring awareness to a disease that effects millions pf people every day. My first race with Team Challenge is Ironman 70.3 Santa Rosa in May 2020. I want to follow that race by joining Team Challenge again at Ironman Lake Placid in July of 2020. Then if everything aligns and the donations keep coming in, I plan on doing the Leadville 100 (if i draw the lottery to participate). This is the 'Trifecta for a ...Cure'! Donation big and small help every step of the way. it helps research. It helps send a kids diagnosed with the disease to summer camp. It helps others that are dealing with the disease, better understand the disease. PLEASE take 5 mintues to donate to a cause that is near and dear to me and so many others!!! About Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis Known collectively as inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis affects almost 1 in 100 people. They are painful, medically incurable diseases that attack the digestive system. Crohn's disease may attack anywhere along the digestive tract, while ulcerative colitis inflames only the large intestine (colon). Symptoms may include abdominal pain, persistent diarrhea, rectal bleeding, fever, and weight loss. Many patients require numerous hospitalizations and surgery. Most people develop the diseases between the ages of 15 and 35; however the incidence is increasing in children. The Crohn's and Colitis Foundation is the largest non-profit, voluntary, health organization dedicated to finding cures for inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD). The Foundation's mission is to cure Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, and to improve the quality of life of children and adults who are affected by these diseases. The Foundation works to fulfill its mission by funding research; providing educational resources for patients and their families, medical professionals, and the public; and furnishing supportive services for those afflicted with IBD.
