About Domain Verification in Business Manager
Businesses can claim ownership of their domains in Business Manager without editing open graph markup tags on their websites.
Domain verification allows you to control editing permissions over your links and content in order to prevent misuse of your domain, including preventing bad actors from spreading misinformation. This includes both organic and paid content. Once you have verified your domain, you can assign specific Pages editing permissions for your ads. Pages associated with your Business Manager that do not have editing permissions won’t be able to make changes to your ads.
It's free to verify your domains. There are 2 domain verification methods:
- HTML file upload
- DNS TXT record
Both offer a streamlined way to verify your domain without requiring you to edit the HTML metadata on your website. Visit the Facebook developer site for instructions on how to verify your domains.
Note: You can't edit organic or unpublished Page post links unless you verify your domains in Business Manager.
