View notes and locked notes on iCloud.com
When you use iCloud Notes, your notes stay up to date on iCloud.com and every device with iCloud Notes turned on. Notes are listed by last-modified date, with the most recent note at the top of the notes list. The list shows the first few words of each note.
If you’re using upgraded notes, the notes list contains the notes in the currently selected folder on the left. If you’re not using upgraded notes, all your notes are listed together, without any folders you may have created in the Notes app on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac.
View a note
In Notes on iCloud.com, select a note in the list.
If you’re using upgraded notes, you may need to select a different folder to see the note you want.
View and close locked notes
If you’re using upgraded notes, you can view notes you locked on an iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac that is signed in with the same Apple ID.
In Notes on iCloud.com, do either of the following:
View locked notes: Select a locked note in the list, then enter the password you created for locked notes.
After you enter the password for one locked note, you can view other locked notes without reentering the password. The notes are locked again after a period of inactivity or when you close the browser window.
If you reset the Notes password using Notes on an iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac, entering the new Notes password only lets you view locked notes that use the new password. If some of your notes use an older password, you must enter that password to view them.
Close locked notes: Click in the Notes toolbar.
To add a lock to a note, remove a lock from a note, change the password for locked notes, or reset the password if you forget it, use the Notes app on your device with iOS 9.3, iPadOS 13, OS X 10.11.4, or later. See the Apple Support article How to lock notes on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
If you’re not using upgraded notes, you can also view your notes stored in iCloud using Microsoft Outlook on a Windows computer. See What can you do with iCloud on a Windows computer?
