Platform Integration

The commerce integration is a fast way to enable new distribution channels across the Facebook family of apps for your existing clients and a great way to acquire new sellers. Currently, you can provide access to Instagram Shopping with Checkout and Facebook Marketplace.

Before You Begin

  • You must have a business setup on Facebook and is verified.
  • You must have an application created for commerce integration that belongs to the business.
  • Required commerce contracts must be signed, including the Tech Provider Amendment and Supplemental Terms.

Integration Steps

  1. Set up your test account and access to API.
  2. Begin work on the order management system and catalog in parallel.
  3. Implement onboarding.
  4. Validate integration.
  5. Go live with sellers.
  6. Upgrade your implementation to features from level 2, if required.
