Excellent. Both the app and the actual stores.

Iceland has been a godsend to me while on first lockdown. After the initial panic of not being able to get a delivery slot and not being able to go to the store, I emailed them explaining why I needed to be a priority too. After three weeks, it was resolved. For some, it might seem long but I understood the pressure of lockdown and the enormous amount of queries they must have had. I have been an Iceland customers for many years, I trust them.

Now, this app. I am not a fan of apps (might be the age!) but I find this app easy to use and it is so easy to top up. I always save on my card because there might be times when funds are low, like waiting for next payday, and I use my balance to pay.

Online, it is easy to use the balance, whole or part of it. It is up to you. The same in stores.
In store, I usually use my plastic bonus card so I can’t comment on how efficient it is to scan your phone.

A note to Iceland:

I love the toiletries section. So useful but there is something I would like to see in Iceland though: non alcohol beer and a selection of kosher and halal food. Even if frozen. Most of supermarkets now store frozen halal chicken burgers and other halal meals and also have Kosher section . By not doing so, I feel Iceland is losing out customers. Just saying. 😊

But from me: THANK YOU!

I have used my Bonus card in the past but it has been when I’ve purchased Items direct from the store. When I enquired about ordering online. I was informed that the Bonus card had a life of 2years. i had actually had it a great deal longer than that. I rang the head office and they were extremely helpful and quickly issued me with another card which is more apt for use for the current times. This is the second time that I’ve ordered online. It has been slightly confusing, because it came up with Slot expired and I need to Rebook my slot. But it had not reached the expiration time, thats what I couldn’t understand. But I did get to the end of my order in the end. My Bonus card had automatically added on the amount of cash that I was entitled to. This is not a criticism but I am Ceoliac In the be helpful if customers were able to see the Ingredients listed to ensure people who were purchasing items of food that it is safe for them to eat in, this would apply other food allergies as well. Especially in the light that a young man whilst celebrating his 18th birthday, died after eating a Chicken Burger which contained Peanuts, It was recently In the BBCTV News, I realise that I may have mentioned some Points which were Irrelevant, to what I was requested to mention, but I considered that needed to be mentioned. Awful and a rip off, like the stores

I downloaded the app last year and deposited £100 as they were running a promotion for Christmas, giving an extra £15 bonus to load onto your card. A couple of weeks before Christmas, I placed my shop online. I checked my bank account just after I did my shop, the full amount was pending, but I thought that the bonus credit (£120) would be taken out of the figure. It was just before I would receive my shop that the pending payment would disappear altogether. I thought that the credit would be taken out, only to find the the full amount was taken out from my bank a while later. I was fuming at this point. I contacted customer service, but they didn’t want to know; claiming it was my fault that I should’ve phoned them before the payment came out. I didn’t like her tone. I explained that it put me in overdraft, but it felt like “we have your money, tough!!”. To add insult to injury, the said £15 bonus has been deleted. How can I get food in when my freezer is full?!? Meanwhile, I get daily emails on money off promotions. A desperate one-trick pony that has been ravaged by the pandemic and cost of living crisis. Your app is a waste of space and isn’t fit for purpose. Going to try Herons in future!
