getir: groceries in minutes 4+

This beats doing an online order from any of the "usual" supermarkets where you have to pre book a delivery slot which is sometimes days in advance and you have to work out that you will be in to receive it.
For a very, very busy working adult who can sometimes be "out and about" at very short notice and who is managing 2 full time jobs as such (1 job working nights, and the other running a charity ) this has come as an
absolute godsend. I placed my first order online and it arrived promptly within the ETA and was delivered by Alex. The selection of products was very good and I was able to get exactly what I needed. The delivery cost is well worth it, as it is delivered by the time you've put the kettle on, made a coffee and opened a packet of biscuits and sat down . The online ordering process is easy to follow ( ordered from my phone) and via the app you are able to follow your order , to when it's been prepared, on its way, track the driver and to when the driver is outside and you get a clock on the app showing you his ETA. I will now be placing a regular weekly order when I am sitting down at home.
It is a great idea and there is also room
on the app to suggest items to add on the shopping list.
I have one question .. Is there a way that the purple bags can be reused and recycled ? As I wouldn't like to get new bags with my shopping delivered every week? Is there a process for recycling ?

Everything about getir seems perfect. From the prices, to the promotions, to the quality of their products. But the one thing that shocked me was the delivery price. Only because I could literally get to my local getir in 5 minutes in a vehicle. It’s literally up the road from my house but I’m still charged the full £2.49 delivery fee? On the app it says delivery fee is from £0-£2.49, how close do u have to live to get less of a fee?
I ordered from getir yesterday and used the spend £15 and get £10 off promotion. So I was only planning on spending a fiver. But because of that delivery fee my total came to almost £8. I was charged extra just so they could come on a 5 minute drive to my house..
Like I said, everything about getir is perfect. I love it and use it all the time. It’s just that insane delivery price that confuses me considering how close I live to the business. But overall I’d still continue to use this app. A great business :)

I recently downloaded the Getir app as a work colleague recommended them. I thought it was a gimmick but special offers with them popped up and I had a moment to look. Wagu burgers - fresh? On offer! So I decided to try as well as get ingredients for tonight’s dinner without leaving the flat. So convenient and what I bought, I got an offer of free 0 alcohol beer. Delivered in 15 minutes by a polite delivery man . There’s even a tracker to see progress/delivery is coming along and an option to not knock. Highly recommended. They don’t have everything but they had what I wanted at the moment. Now I can crack on with work. Probably they will be really handy should we have another lockdown. Yes it would have been cheaper if Lidls was opened nearby but to pedal down to Tesco’s Metro or Sainsburys and get distracted with other shopping it was convenient plus my local corner shop closed for the month. Getir was there in the end. Love ‘em!
