*Clearpay lends you a fixed amount of credit so you can pay for your purchase over 4 instalments, due every 2 weeks. Ensure you can make repayments on time. You must be 18+ and a permanent UK resident (excl Channel Islands). Clearpay charges a £6 late fee for each late instalment and a further £6 if it’s still unpaid 7 days later. Late fees are capped at £6 for orders under £24 and the lower of £24 or 25% of the order value for orders over £24. Missed payments may affect your ability to use Clearpay in the future and your details may be passed onto a debt collection agency working on Clearpay's behalf. The best!!
This is literally one of the best things to ever come out. So you can split the price of something into 4, at no extra cost?!! What a genius idea! Since downloading this app I use it all the time. Within reason, I always keep a check on what I’ve ordered so I don’t have too many debits going out. But if you use this a few times a month, then it couldn’t be better! So I can always afford the things I’m buying outright but if I get the option to cut it into 4, it almost feels like I haven’t paid! And now, when I order something, rather than take the first quarter payment straight away, it takes it out two weeks after I order it! Unbelievable! So not only am I getting things without spending the full amount straight away.. the item will arrive before the first payment has even come out! Plus I can always add the fastest delivery on at the checkout so it comes next day because the delivery price is added onto the 4 payments so it splits the delivery price into 4.. meaning I may as well pay for the most expensive next day delivery, because it might add on an extra £3 to each quarter! This is one of the best payment splitting apps/company’s that I’ve used. Also it shows you how much you have available to split, so you can see what you have to use and what you have to pay back. It’s honestly brilliant. This app is a must!!
Fantastic site, super useful
There’s been a sudden influx of these BNPL sites. Without even a moment’s hesitation, I can put my hand on my heart and say that ClearPay are by far the best and easiest to shop with. So long as you are responsible with your purchasing and only commit to what you know you can comfortably afford to repay, you’ll have no problem with ClearPay. You’ll find them to be a very reasonable, reliable and fair lender. In ways that hit and miss alternatives like Klarna and PayPal are.
As I say ClearPay are the easiest to shop with and the best on the market. The more loyal a customer you become with ClearPay the greater they repay that loyalty. For instance, they have a points earning scheme, which opens up to even more convenient services.
Of course nothing is perfect and it would be disingenuous to not point out some of the things that let them down. Although new retailers are constantly signing up to ClearPay, I do find that you are a limited on choice of retailer. It is predominantly fashion and personal care that feature. This is probably the one thing that Klarna have got right. Having a wide range of retailers, including most major brands. Something that ClearPay need to work on.
Mostly decent!
I would definitely recommend using clear pay. I think it’s more efficient and easier to navigate, then other “buy now pay later apps”! Only negatives I would point out are; difficult refund processes and no payment extension options, in case of inevitable emergencies. The refund process is stressful and confusing! I think it’s expensive, in comparison to other places too! Similar apps, have payment extension options. I think that shows understanding, that a persons circumstances - and it’s not within their control! They probably don’t offer it, as people would abuse that! However there are ways to prevent that specifically! So others (not abusing that), can benefit! Other than that it’s generally great! I think it’s good that they also trust younger people, with higher limits! Whilst everyone may not agree, we aren’t all bad! Young people with kids and responsibilities, need things like this! Normally these types of credit limits, are only accessible to older people! So it’s good too see the lack of ageism, as not all young people are reckless! Older people rack up high credit too and use apps like these, irresponsibly! Would just advise, to approach with caution! It’s addictive and really good to split payments! But definitely can mess you up, if you can’t pay for all the things you’ve ordered!
