Shopping list

I was pleased that the app was integrating a shopping list as I already use a shopping app on my phone and if was awkward swopping between 2 apps. I usually added items to my original shopping app during the week, then before going shopping, it had the facility to be able to reorganise the list by moving items up and down so they were in order that they can be found within the store. Using the shopping app in the scan & go app I either have to write my
Shopping list out THEN create it in the app or I have an out of order shopping list and sometimes have to go backwards and forwards around the store to avoid missing items.

I’m Banned from the store

Today I visited my local store, that I shop regularly for over 8 years and I used the app as all handsets were out of charge, I scanned my shopping as usual but when arrived at checkout the lady had to re-scan all my trolley as the first item she scanned had not been scanned. I was confused but thought maybe I missed it, only to find out that nearly half of my shopping had not been scanned. I was extremely shocked as I had not noticed any fault during my shopping, all the items scanned well and I added extra quantities for the multiple items I bought. I’ve payed for all my shopping (£200 +) and she called security, the security man told me that because there were so many items not scanned they would have to ban me from the store as they considered that I tried to steal half of my shopping. Im still gobsmacked with the whole thing and starting to doubt my sanity! I asked the manager to check the cctv footage or point me what items were not scanned but he just told me to email the customer services if I wanted to try to have the ban lifted. I DO NOT SHOP LIFT! I have now asked the customer service online to see if they can check what items I have scanned through the app and see if I can prove that I did scan everything I put in my trolley.

Useful but be careful

Useful app that has really sped up my shopping trips to Asda, but has recently developed a glitch where some items can end up double scanning whilst only showing 1 item having been scanned in the app. Would have been stung for an extra £2.50 today if I hadn’t checked through my items on the till as it transferred them through.
