Asda Rewards 4+

I recently revisited the Asda Rewards app after having used it for a few months, and I'm pleased to see that they've integrated Apple Wallet functionality. This feature was previously missing, making it slightly inconvenient to access my barcode, but now it's much more streamlined and easier to use.

While the app has made improvements, I've noticed a few areas where it could still be enhanced. Firstly, the rewards seem to expire relatively quickly, which makes it difficult to accumulate pounds and redeem them. It would be great if Asda could consider extending the expiration period to offer customers more flexibility.

Another aspect of the app that could use some tweaking is the "star products" feature. While the concept is interesting, some of the products offered are not applicable to all customers, such as pet food. As someone who doesn't own pets, I find it disappointing that I can't take advantage of these promotions. It would be ideal if the app could provide a more personalised selection of star products to cater to different customers' needs and preferences.

Overall, the Asda Rewards app has made significant strides with the addition of Apple Wallet integration, but there's still room for improvement in terms of reward expiration and more tailored product offerings.

This is a great rewards program offering by Asda, and you can get some good money back on your shopping in conjunction with cashback apps and payment cards.

Literally the only thing that this now needs is a proper search function on Star Products to make sure we can pinpoint to any items we buy, instead of endlessly scrolling the A to Z list of 500ish items to see if the item is on the Star Products list. The A to Z and Z to A lists are frustrating to use especially when what you are searching for starts with a letter like M, and you have to scroll constantly to get to the middle letters of the alphabet.

I used to really like this app and have had it for a number of months. It was easy to build up my cash pot quite quickly. Since the milestones changed recently, I’ve hardly earned anything during the past few weeks - and that’s with spending quite a lot each time. I earned 5p today for buying some spring onions…. As another review says, the star products should be tailored based on recent spend - most of the items aren’t relevant and/or aren’t something I’d ever buy.

Similarly with the changes to Blue Light card. With it having to now be linked to an Asda card in the same name, it means we now have 2 cards to have to manage. Everything I buy is usually for both of us, with or without the BL card being present. However, by having to use another card the cash pots won’t build up so quickly.

Guess that’s one way to not have to pay out so much to customers - it didn’t take long to reduce the benefits.
