Useful is you own the product you want Support with.

If you want to ask questions about a product your considering buying, don’t even bother. No matter how hard you try, it will always ask you for a serial number. I was unable to ask a question about an Apple Watch which is really annoying. If you own the device, it is much easier and most staff know how to help and what they’re talking about. They don’t take long to connect and are very nice. Just a shame you have to own a device to ask a question about it.

Incompetent, lying bunch of buffoons

By far the worst customer service of all the customer services online. Not only are they incapable of given the correct information in terms of the functionality of the iCloud and devices, they take no responsibility for any more functions, blame you for things that are clearly network related and on top of that blatantly lying. Trying to get any answers or any resolution is completely useless. This stuff are not educated at all as to the functionality of the organisation no are they competent enough to give any real advice. This so-called senior advisors unable to provide any real support aside from telling you how there is nothing they can do about the issue and there is no one else in the whole organisation that can help. Pretty insane to accept this kind of low quality support after spending thousands of pounds over the course of 15 years on their products. They don’t understand loyalty they don’t understand help, heck they don’t even understand how to talk to you and to read the actual wards you write. Absolutely appalling.

Anne O'Mie ,

First time, I think, in about 20 years of Apple ownership that I’ve needed to ask for telephone support (to find three weeks’-worth of archived emails that had vanished from iCloud). I instantly got a very polite and calm helper, who tried everything, then referred me up to a manager in Ireland. She swiftly went through a dozen very clear steps, then undertook to do a full recovery - images came to mind of vast server farms in California all working overtime to find my lost messages... She also gave me her contact details and said she would call back to check progress - which she duly did. By then the lost emails had started trickling in, and continued to do so for several hours.

I’m worried that iCloud somehow lost the data, but the support from Apple was first rate.
